I see you can still get project 2's with a 1" steerer, but it's threadless, I need a 1" threaded fork, particulaly a straight leg fork rather than a curved one...any ideas?
I presume this is for an authentic rebuild because if not you'd be best going with the Kona P2's.
Also if it is an authentic rebuild surely you would want an example of the forks the frame was originally fitted with because if this does not bother you then again i would suggest the P2's.
Rody at the groovy cyle works does some sweet forks. About £150 and they are perfect. I've just fitted a pair. Worth every penny (virtual penny-as credit card)
yes. These are straight. Contact him via here. And tell him what your looking for. Sure he will help. Plus is on the East side of the states so posting is quicker than West side. (I found any way)
You might have a problem unless you go custom as I suspect the P2's take a degree of suspension adjustment into account.
Look out or ask on the wanted page for anything that might fit the bill, remember to say the bike is pre 90's as it will not be designed with a suspension corrected fork in mind. An early P2 with threaded steerer might suffice or something like one of the bolt together forks from Tange or Bontrager. Raleigh on their high end kit of that period certainly had some straight bladed forks such as those found on a Raleigh White Lightning.
Personally I'd stick with the authentic original forks.
