Is the age of chivalry dead??

A woman knocked me off my motorbike, as she hit me and the bike she punchered one of her tyre, she stepped out of the car nearly in tears and couldn't stop apologising. She was utterly gorgeous  and like a idiot I changed her wheel for her with one hand bleeding like a sheep once we exchanged details, my bike was unrideable but get this she was using the car while it was on recall for a brakes fault AND I lost the court case and she claimed against me "WTF" :x

Wow thats messed up!

See that kid recently in china that gor ran over (sob, so sad), people didnt help in case they got blamed and sued for causing further injuries.

I dont drive but judge a cyclist bye eye. If i can see theyre almost done then i wont bother but i have followed people up hills where there are trails to adjust their gears for them!

almost all chivalry, manners and just generally being nice have disappeared but not all

I was out cycling a while back and my rear mech broke. so muddy and wet and trudging home a lovely woman in a chelsea tractor offered and gave me a lift home :D :D

and only the other day i saw an old dear broken down on a roundabout so i parked me bike up and help push her out of the way and let her use my mobile to phone her daughter

Its just a shame more people were not nicer , but then to some people 5 minutes is too much time out of there busy day

its hard enough for some people to say thank you when you open a door for them or say hello when you say hello to them

Bad times
but i was brought up better than that

Sounds like the judge agreed with you, that's one scummy woman.

I think nowadays Piracy is more prevalent than Chivalry. I like to consider myself Chivalrous however at times I drop into Piracy where I'd rather run some people thru with a Cutlass...

last week there was a pretty majot accident on a local dual carriageway, a car in a ditch, people carrier on its roof and 2 lorries in the hard shoulder, lots of cars driving slowly by to have a good look but my wife was the only person to stop and offer assistance.

by all accounts it was a pretty horrific scene
