Is it a Zaskar?!

Used frame stripped to bare metal? Recycling used stuff and selling it as new is something China/Aliexpress sellers do a lot, especially semiconductors, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was far more extensive than that.

Ugliest looking Zaskar I ever did see, looks like it mated with a mongrel somewhere along the line...
Thinking about it, it looks like a a Carbon Zaskar, but it's alloy, so must be a knock off. Some resemblance to an Elite, but they never came with rim brake mounts.

Close, but I think I'm going to have to go with knock off, it's just not quite right.

Looks like an 2010 Avalanche 2.0View attachment 575552

Very very close only cable guides I can see in the game of spot the difference!

Strange thing to rip off so accurately. You'd rip off the top level, e.g. chinerellos fake Louis Vuitton bags etc not some anonymous mid range hardtail from a has-been brand

I'm going with genuine avalanche somehow.

Maybe... it looks like it's been media blasted and scuffed up for paint, so maybe a used bike sold as new. I don't think GT fabricated anything in China.

They go through a lot of effort to pull used chips from boards, sand them, paint them and laser etch new markings and then sell them for very little as new, so I wouldn't put it past them.
