Is it a Miyata or a Specialized?

I baught a Miyata some time ago. At least i thaught it was a Miyata... The framenumber on the bottombracket matches Miaytas framenumbers and suggests the bike is from 1984. I couldn't find a matching bike in any Miyata catalogs, so i checked the bike more closely. On the fork crown and the top of the seat stays Specialized's logo is imprinted.

After some googling I've found the following:

*Miyata made frames for the Spezialized Allez in the early 80's.
*The Spezialized Allez came with Suntour Superbe, same as my bike.

So what to make of this? Is it a rebranded Specialized, or did Miyata also use the Specialized frame on their own bikes?

Don't know for sure, but Miyata did certainly build for others and had to manage inventory of lugs with other brands too. So it could even simply have been a factory error (which is something pretty cool to have), or interference by anyone along the supply chain or ownership chain.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunatly the decals are on top of the clear coat, so i guess this one won't be solved. Either way it's a nice frame :)

Rebranded Specialized IMO.
IME the lugs and details of top Miyatas look better than this.
