that was Kona IM 2005 , last time I raced the old beast . Its new owner loaned it out and it returned with a de-bonded BB shell , the carbon was all intact but the alloy threads were no longer glued to the carbon , he then gave it back to me and I have decided to repair it as a pure triathlon bike(I use carbon/epoxy every day in my business )
I fitted a carbon tube into the bb (it already had a glass wrap to keep it away from the carbon) it needed a few wraps of masking tape to be snug then i measured 40cm either side of the shell and used those points for "squareness" whilst the epoxy glue set
