I’ve got an almost fubar (as in the opposite of NOS) pair of IRC Racer X-1 26 x 2.125 tyres. Probably 1983/1984, really early MTB tyres. I can’t bring myself to chuck them nor would I ever use them or let anyone else. Thought about trying to paint some latex or something on the sidewall for at best putting on as show tyres, anyone tried anything like that? I’d lose what remains of the faint lettering on the side but the treads are still decent.
