Why sell a family heirloom?

Seller perhaps has more than one/ needs the space/ frame too big/small or would like to see it used...plenty of reasons and not necessarily monetary.

Unfortunately very nice and unusual frames built by non-professional framebuilders don't command much of a price.
Hopefully the vendor is looking for a good home rather than a tidy sum

What's with all the guides on the side of the downtube? For full outer cable gears? It looks nice, but price says 12k ????? That's a lot to pay to go slowly (fred pace!)
