Intense uzzi dh can a front mech be fitted

First of all hi to everyone on here I have only just found out about this site
From my friend as he mentioned someone here might be able to help me
I have my intense uzzi dh which I am running a single ring on the crank
But want to put a front mech in
I have tried putting a bb bracket front mech in but the derailer just keeps rubbing the arm on the crank and its still not over far enough to keep the chain on the ring I have put 2 spacers in there
I am now thinking that this frame is not designed for a front mech

Mech

You could get a mount welded onto the frame, braze on style, but why do you want a front mech?

I have gave this bike to my girlfriends brother who don't really need it for downhill but would like more gears for at least trying to get uphill on it
Now I have changed the front forks as well

You could run a Shimano E-Type front der. You'd need to replace the bottom bracket with an E version as well. Does it have the I.S. mounting holes on the frame for the chain guide? the plate of the derailleur will bolt right to it.

Hi I have one of those derailers but just a normal xt BB

The correct BB has different cups that retains the proper chainline when it's spaced out by the derailleur mounting bracket.

Or just tell him it's single ring deal with it lol

I can not find a specific BB for this mount it just says a derailer for mounting on the BB

I used to run one of these frames with a triple ring, e-type front mech is the way to go.
