While at my local swapmeet this past weekend, I found (among a few other treasures) the pictured bicycle maintenance kits made by HOZAN Japan. Upon returning home, I did some searching on the net about the company. Seems they make a number of tool kits (many cycle-related) and professional shop repair tools as well. However, was unable to find out anything about the two kits I acquired. One is new and the other nearly so. I only found one photo of a kit case like mine, but the tool array was different (more wrenches/spanners). It was being sold on Ebay and seller said it was circa 1983, for some upper-end Japanese racing cycle I cannot recall the name of. My surmise is HOZAN made kits for specific customer requests for upper-end cycles, or general kits (which is closer to what I have) for retail sales. Either way, seems these are "olde school" items as well. May keep one to go w/my ATB, but if anyone knows more, additional information would be most appreciated...!
