Information on Bottecchia

Hello

My friend have a Bottecchia Campione del Mondo, I don't know the year. The paint isn't top notch but is also not the worst. The group is Shimano 105, the stem is nitto... The frame is Columbus SL.

The picture is not the best but it is what i've got:

He is asking 400€ (332GBP), I really like it, but seems a bit steep.

What do you think?

i reckon the frame set alone would easily sell on e bay for £225 + especially with chrome forks.
the paint work is great[retro] and easy to touch up.
i know what you are saying its sl not slx and its 105 and not campag
never the less these are one of my fav makes and they dont pop up for that price very often! i would buy it if i had the cash
with a view to making her pure italian. :|

also i read that greg lemond once rode a bottechia but this may have been a t trial special ,so if any one has
some pics be great.
the style of font is really stylish,go on buy it ask the gurus what to put on it, and do a build thread its to be treasured
when you turn up at an event and your surrounded by carbon clones these steel the show

oonaff your point is great but that means spending allot and make it a collectors bike, and this one is a Bottecchia with SL tubing (I love it) but for the price (or the whole investment in the rest of the Italian parts), I can get something more valuable.

I'm still thinking on her cause I really like it.
