Are they manitou 4? If so, you will something of same period, i ran LX565, the black ones and they were fine. Unless somebody has swapped the studs for something shorter..

Lots of brake blocks will catch on various fork braces, it's not that unusual.

The brakes themselves touching the brace.....well....that's.....Interesting....

-all spacers,springs,dust covers etc fitted correctly on the Canti brakes?

- is it a Manitou brace? Looks different to the one in marcs pic?

Hmmmm. Forks are soft anyway so happy to lose them. Looking on fleabay for a simple black steel pair. Or something nice if I see them. 220mm threaded 1 1/8 steerer.

Just took forks off again for a proper measure.

The Fork brace is the Correct one, I've just refurbed a set of Magnums and they have exactly the same Canti Brace!
