My friend Mike died a few months ago. In the 1990’s I would go riding at least twice a week with him and his wife in the West Surrey Hills area. I thought I would post this photo in honour of our friendship.
This was taken on a weekend trip to the Isle of Wight in 1992/3. We (myself on a Roberts White Spider, Mike on his Orange Aluminium O, his wife on a Specialized Rockhopper and his brother in law, bike unknown) had just completed a very muddy ride along the islands chalk ridge from East to West and we were taking a well earned rest near Freshwater.
A year later he traded in the Orange for a 1992 Horizon Linear Fade Klein Attitude which he owned until the end.
RIP Mike. You will be missed and I will always cherish our friendship and the miles we shared together.
