FFS, building bikes for 20 years. 2 in a shop and still have obvious things to learn. We did have an Abby tools thing that did the trick but not shelling out for one.

The broom is always in easy reach, and once the hoods are perfectly aligned, the mechanic can take a few moments to sweep up the floor and stick the kettle on!
