I like this country and can think of worse places to live and all have their plus and minus points

The legion are nutters by anyones standards plus you got to like singing in french and be bloody good at ironing and of course being stationed in France is seldom the option, deserts and steaming jungles predominate.

I'd try enlisting in the Australian army if you already have military experience, I believe it can be done. Alternatively as we're involved in two foreign conflicts are existing UK forces are leading more exciting lives than a few year back.
