Been given this beast below, it's unfortunately undergone some modernisation in the 90s, ie bars, gear shifts, rear derailliuer unfortunately, used to be a drop handle bar jobbie, I don't know what to with it as its fecking massive, the top tube height is above my pelvis height, the guy that gave it to me Is 6'4" I can't even get my leg over it , I wanted to Fixie it, but I will never ride it. Is there any value in it and what the fook was it originally

Serial number NA2011589 (1982 I presume)
There is a S stamped on the bb shell
Raliegh wienmann 610? Centre pull brakes
Raleigh cranks
Malliard front hub dated 82 rear unstamped
Sachs turret cable guide
Lovely lugged frame

Under the grub, the parts are mint, they polish up sweet as fook

If you're 6' 4" then I would say that is borderline too small. Looking at it I would say 58 to 61cm? I am six feet exactly and can ride 57 upwards to 59.

That saddle doesn't look the most comfortable perch so perhaps try a different one?

Yes the saddle is bad, but when the pedal is all the way down I can't reach it from the saddle!! I'm only 5'5"

Ah yes. I've read it properly now. Agree. Too big, oops!

Looks like the frame will polish up well with a bit of effort. It will make more if you found some proper bars I think.

This looks like a 23" frame so would fit someone from about 6ft upwards.

Just refurbish it then sell it on as it is rather than spend money on conversion when you won't be able to enjoy it properly
