il mio MERLIN XLM

Hello guys
these days there's a new frame in my garage, a beautiful Merlin XLM that will accompany the mountain in monstercross version.
The frame is of 1997, but I decided to mount it at the moment Shimano xtr m900 because it has the rear jumper for the cantilever, the alternative was a m952
really nice and in very good condition

has just arrived yesterday in the garage, I have to think how to mount it

I think it looks super the way it is. Merlin XLM doesnt need bling. Remember a test in MBA (about 94?) with a build like this: Ritchey fork and M900. Very special ! Only thing might be black skinwalls perhaps?

If you haven't done so already, check the insides of those rims for small holes. (as seen in the photo below).
Check those holes for any burrs or sharp edges and use a small file to get rid of those.



I had about a dozen flats with my own CC22s when I first started using them. Every single puncture was on the inside. I deburred the holes and now use electrical tape to cover them.
Thinking about getting some slightly wider rim tape, that should do a much better (and longer lasting) job of covering the holes.

Today I have changed the color of headset with a blue navy



alternatively I was thinking that I have in the garage a Kona P2 fork nos, Shimano xtr m900 headset, stem 3t Prolight
