Will HG chain and cassette work with Stx rc? Sutherland's says no

Shimano say no....I say yes! (in my experience)! Just put a non- IG chain on an stx-rc drive chain and it is sweet. The chain is a budget kmc-z51....the change is smooth.

I stand corrected just looked in the archive and pics do show it as IG always thought it was hg. Never had any problems tho.
