Kinda had to do this, following a
Forced restart.
In some semblance of order.
1. Sort out the insurance claim, by golly buying stuff online has its uses for getting evidence of what you’ve bought, even on eBay.
1a.Argue with insurance company over level of cover (I won)
1b. Dispute reduction in payout if I wanted cash rather than replacements through their preferred supplier (Tweeks). To be fair, Tweeks were really helpful in supporting my case - person I spoke was obviously a bike guy, and clicked that I was asking for my costs to be covered, not pushing for a “new for old” custom steel frame covered in Dura-ace (the Whitcomb)
2. Find random bikes/frames I liked the look of (no theme other than they weren’t Kona’s - it was just too raw to begin with).
3. Ride and enjoy them, but realise in time that I could have and enjoy a Kona again.
4. Aquire various Kona’s but only ones I really wanted
5. Fail to get rid of the others I’d bought (see 2. Above).
6. Become custodian of Pip’s Ku - as near to a unicorn bike as I’m going to get (it’s fab by the way). RIP Pip.
