If you started from scratch again...

Read loads of thoughtful posts and threads lately. If you had to get rid of everything and start the whole process again (couldn't keep a brake cable) all acquiring, building and riding is gone. Empty garage, shed, museum... what would we do?

For starters, I would have married my second wife first, not vice versa LOL. But joking aside, I would have shown some focus in my acquisitions, instead of being interested in everything.

I do that every year.
This year is Look.(road)
My past collection included Rockies, Kona's, Toad's, Dekerf's, Brodie’s are pride of many others collections. Many have been shown here.

If it all got stolen for instance....so all gone....buy a custom build gravel/ hybrid type affair...that would do everything i need in one good bike....oh and ride it rather than worrying about them.

Find more space, then start again. I like the process of finding interesting bikes and frames and building but I am running into a wall, quite literally, or I would keep going.

16-17 years it's taken to get the collection where it is and I dread to think how much cash has gone into it. Obviously I didn't know that going in but faced with that again, If for instance they did all get pinched. No, I'd probably just recreate my Charge and be done with it. Realistically it does everything I need and the rest are just nice to own.

It is my life's hobby, doesn't bear thinking about. I'd struggle to replace any I own.
