IDIOT allen key size

Trying to attach the machine tec v's to the Bolx.


Stipud allen key fixing to clamp the cable to one of those gromet things.

It seems it needs some ridicoulus 3.5mm allen key or indeed an imperial one. None of my 4556 allen keys work. :?

Where the blinkin flip to you get wierdo allen key sizes from?

For a weird key (for Grafton setscrew) I went to the modelbuild shop. They had a nice assortment

If it's 3.5mm that's a size campag use. Available from ebay, alternatively I have one in my garage

I've got a full run of half sized allens in both metric and the backwards/should be outlawed imperial system.

I have 4557 allen keys and none of them are 3.5mm. You can always have one more

Are you sure it's not 1/8" which is 3.2mm? I don't know what you're fitting but if it's American it's probably 1/8".

It's the same as the Grafton grub screws which were imperial. Snap-on and Park tools both do a set, i reckon you'll need to order for the park ones (6 or 7 quid), if you know a friendly snap on dealer, they'll have one but about £20, either way it's kinda useful for old school US parts
