Identifying Zeus hubs + Suntour Ultra 6 freewheel question

Couple of questions for a knowledgeable folks on here

1. Zeus low flange solid axle hubs (marked BSC, i.e. British thread freewheel). They look like Zeus Gran Sport to me, but with solid axels, which I can confirm have Zeus stamped on. 100/120mm OLN - could they be an early version of Gran Sport or perhaps any other model?

2. Suntour Winner Ultra 6 freewheel - came on the ^ wheelset - what toll is needed to remove the lock ring before removing freewheel itself. Once I do ,I'll know if thread on the hub is for fixed or geared/ss freewheel

I will stick both on for sale thread with the rest of the part I don't need, but need to find out what I'm selling first

Suntour two prong extractor. No lock ring, teeth engage in cutouts. Put tool on, screw axle nut on to stop it coming out of the cutouts.

the Zeus world logo visible on the hub barrel goes back to at least the 1960's

about 1971-72 this logo changed to the Zeus oval

hubs could have been part of the Gran Sport ensemble was well as the Criterium, very good quality with nicely rectified races

world logo may well go back prior to the 1960's, do not know a launch date for it

Thank you - the bike is from 1954, perhaps these wheels came in 1970s, i somewhat doubt they are original as rims are 700c and not 27" as would perhaps be a norm in England in that era.

They are indeed good quality and spin very nicely. I just never seen low flange 100mm front/120mm rear with solid axle. Need to take that freewheel off to check what threading it is.

Fabulous , many thanks for the catalogue pages, solved the mystery, again Mr @juvela So judging by the parts, they seem to be 'Standard' type, although from what I can see, there are no differences in construction, material or weight.

Need to take the rear wheel to LBS - could not take the freewheel off myself - then I'll be able to report back what thread is on
