Identify unknown DBR

May well have found it's long lost cousin - A British Eagle BOSS. These frames have almost certainly come from the same factory, and yes I'm still riding around on this regularly.

Quick question. I've just been browsing ebay and noticed a Marin with a headtube sticker the same as mine - see pic, with a 'CYC' number on it. I always assumed this was my frame number, but I'm not so sure now. Could it be some kind of tagging scheme like datatag? The sticker and font on mine look identical, although obviously the number is different.

The Datatag company have indeed confirmed that it is a Datatag number, and have also confirmed that it isn't marked as stolen.
For £20 they can register it in my name and send me the data they have on it.

They don't always help much, but I've found the actual frame number. At the bottom of the seat tube, non-drive side.

Also some 'patina'.

AM9612130 for reference.

This has been in bits for months. Initially condemned due to a worn out chain and chainrings, stripping down confirmed the cassette, both derailleurs, cables and brake pads were also knackered.

Since 2016, this has been my daily ride, every day all year in all weathers. It's also never gets the maintenance it really needs. Today it's back on the road.

Quite a bit has changed over the years. The tag-a-long mount for dad duties, permanent rack for load lugging, Tyres, pads, mechs, grips, saddle, headset, seatpost, quick releases. My most useful bike.

I'm assuming it is a 1996 from the frame number, but still unsure what it is.

I wonder if this might be an original decal? 'Butted 7005 Aluminum' - Could help to match the frame if another is found, or anyone recognises the font.
This is towards the bottom of the seat tube.
