Any idea on the manufacturer? Just curious, they turned up on a hope wheelset on fleebay last year.

Fairly standard Taiwanese fare. Used to be all over eBay a couple of years ago but now superseded by newer versions like these:

I knew they weren't hope, I have some hope skewers and they're much nicer than this tat.

Funny though, these are quite serviceable, light and strong while the newer Taiwanese versions like the ones tend fall apart. ahhh progress!

I have a set exactly like these on the GFs bike and they have worked superbly for years, have a set of expensive Tune ones on my modern bikes and they bind every time I use them. One cost £10, one cost £50.....

I have some of them. I've owned them 15 years I think. Never had a problem with them. They are made from a strange alloy though that's tricky to anodize!
