Idea's for bike repair?

Re:

A few updates from my previous comments

My experience was based on genuine Helicoil products , hence my reference to price . The Chinese copies are more than
adequate for your application , particularly as the pivot bolt has only a shearing load applied to it

After helicoil insertion when the tang is broken off , the sharp remains of the tang can sometimes interfere with and grip
the bolt . This does not matter on assembly , but could be an issue when you remove the bolt , as in your case

In order to avoid this problem it is best to check the end of the tang and grind off ( dremel ) any protruding bits

If you are powder coating the frame , be aware that the temperatures reached will probably be beyond those
recommended for loctite ? perhaps best to loctite after painting ? also for the loctite to be effective a thorough
degrease/clean of the assembly is essential

Gotcha. That's exactly what happened in my case so i'll be looking for a clean cut. Paintwise i'm doing it myself so no high temperatures involved.
