Yep, it's got sliding dropouts, noodle looks identical to Kona's before they went dog collar. Thing that's really throwing it off is the long seat tube, and also the long serial number indicates it must have been a production bike, unless the shell was just grabbed and welded up.
Seller claimed it might be a brodie, as he and a friend also had Paul weld up a couple of stems to convert road bikes to tourers.
I thought it may have been some sort of RM, as it is similar to 80's Avalanches, but seat binder faces the wrong way.
Now leaning towards it possibly being a Kona, but googling has been a dead end so far, unless I just have my hopes up and its got nothing to do with Brodie/Kona/RM at all.
