Retro Newbie
Ibis Mojo hardtail.
Vintage (late 90s /early 2000s ) / "modern classic", whichever you class these early noughties bikes as now...
Medium frame = seat tube is 17inch from centre of top tube intersection to centre of bottom bracket shell / spindle.
Top tube = 21 5inch from centre of seat tube to centre of head tube
Head tube is 4.5inch (without h/set cups)
The most eye catching and unique thing about this old frame is the hand and forearm brake cable boss protruding from the rear stays - hence why I have a canti brake on the rear of this bike.. to showcase this feature rather using a V brake...
Is built up with some similar era Rockshox Judy Xc forks, a pair of Mavic D521 rims laced to Shimano Deore Hubs (rear is Xt)
Drive train is 1 x 9sp with a Shimano 9sp Xt rear mech, Shimano Lx 9sp shifter and a Planet X / On-One Ringmaster Narrow-wide chain ring on a Shimano deore crankset.
Oury BMX style grips, on an Amoeba 67cm bar, with a 70mm girder style Acor Stem. X-ped silver platform Pedals (very grippy with both pins and teeth) .
Front brake is an Avid V lever with a Shimano deore V brake.
Rear brake is a mid 90s Shinano Alivio brake lever (minus the LH shifter pod) with Shimano Lx canti so that the unique rear canti boss is in use !
Good range of gears with 34t and 11-32 cassette. I have ridden round Cannock chase and all the Afan Valley red routes many times on it OK.
Frame is steel Tange Prestige "Moron" tubing. There are a few small dings/scratches in the top tube but nothing too bad and not near any lugs.
Good , responsive, fun bike to ride and quite rare in the UK. Selling due to downsizing my Mtb fleet as not riding them as much.
Can post to anywhere in the UK, packaged in a proper bike box for £25, or collection if you prefer (Derby)
Am looking for £450 for it. Thanks for looking
