£3200 plus shipping sounds about right to me, frame new if you had one made now is $6000 just for frame plus shipping :?
but imo the new design is not as nice as the original.

My unicorn

I'm thinking the background of the photo's does not match a home of such an expensive bike :?

That would be because they spent all of their money on bikes and none on the apartment.

I love these frames and looking at that ad makes me go all tingly in my special place, but I keep thinking of that saying about never meeting your heroes.... I guess I'm probably spoilt having owned a modern Mojo Sl for the last four years but I'd be afraid of shelling out that amount for what is ultimately a posh URT design, regardless of the beauty of it... Not to mention that I'd probably have to sell my SL to fund any potential Bow-Ti purchase...

If there are any Bow-Ti owners reading this in N.Ireland who would like to enlighten me then please get in touch and give me a go. Pretty please :D

HMRC would probably disagree but its a fair price if you live in the States ;) . Although there was one about a year or two ago in medium with full M950 but otherwise similar spec to this one and also a low starting bid which fetched only $2.5k IIRC. It was another US only auction so I never bothered to enquire any further but had I known what the winning bid would be...

I enjoy riding mine today and like the other poster have had a disk mount fitted (steve potts) and run mine with newer shock - originally they came with Fox Alps shocks, Magura Durin SL's, XTR, King, Middleburn, Hope brakes blah blah blah.

I still find it a good ride, perfect for most xc stuff, 5 inches of travel in the frame with no pivots, genius. I usually get 3 or 4 inches of travel but when I did the 2011 trans-provence on it, I was pushing it to its limits on some of the extreme steep stuff and big drops. I'll admit it was a little 'outgunned', a dropper post helped but the head angle was a little steep for that kind of riding... but we got round more or less.

I wouldnt sell it.

Quite happy to meet up for a Swinley ride if anybody was ever actually around.

Was practically new when I got it. Rode all through last winter and thoroughly enjoyed it. Build was a bit thrown together with modern parts fork and shock but it rode so well like this I was loathe to spoil it. Will do a proper '98 build one day.
