Yes original paint.
Heck original cables and housing for that matter.
The bike hung has upside down on some hooks in a garage for the past twenty years.

The only thing not original on the bike would be the pedals which I upgraded to some first generation clipless Shimano's.

Avion - These are the Japan made Ibis', are they? Who made them? Toyo?

It looks well put together, but Tange MTB is relatively crude material for what you would expect from an Ibis yes.
