Some of the E-bikes look quite smart and/or practical, but if, like me, you have a full motorcycle licence, it's difficult to get past the fact that if you want something as a cheap runnabout for short-ish trips, you could pick up a used small engined motorcycle or scooter for less.
Walking past a mortorcyle shop the other day, I saw one of these in the window:
Brand new, £2,800.00 on the road. It's only a 125cc, so it's quite titchy; you would probably look a bit silly on it if you were a chunky 6 footer, but I thought it looked quite smart. I don't know how it stacks up in terms of durability or reliability, etc. but on the face of it you seem to get a lot for your money when compared to some E-bikes costing a similar amount, or more.
