Retro Newbie
I have this road bike
i bought it at a flea market in California
it is a good project
don't know what brand is it, it came with a Suntour superbe pro group
it has a Suntour stamped in the end lugs (actually don't know how these are called),
see pictures attached and any help is appreciated

Some more pics would be helpful, interesting details on the bottom bracket and those little hearts(?). The end lugs are called dropouts.

Re:

restoration in progress
this Nishiki ONP has many things that just puzzles me
the rear wheel dropouts has engraved one suntour and the other one shimano,
it fits only 700x23 wheels, and the cable holders are campagnolo
racor and tube welding is so good you cant feel any solder remains
the steel tubes has some veins that I cant remove, I have tried sanding, this must be steel scum
i am planning only to paint only with clear and leave the original steel with rust remains
or i could paint it original champagne,
observations and suggestions are welcomed

Glad to see it coming on, definitely a slow burner this one ;)
I really like it as it looks like such a finely built frame. Thanks for the article as well.
I see what your getting at with spraying it clear, though if it was mine I would polish it a bit more, not chrome type shiny but shiny matt steel if that makes sense. Champagne sounds nice too I think.
Look forward to seeing this develop

Jamie
