I NEED HELP TO IDENTIFICATE THIS PINARELLO

Your Pinarello looks like a late 1970's model . It has been repainted and top tube brake cable braze ons added . The stand out thing for me that makes it look older is the way the rear brake bridge has been fabricated with a plain tube and washer brazed on . I am definitely no Pinarello expert but cannot see it being newer than 1980 .

Hi all. Sorry to reactivate this thread, but a similar query here. I picked up this Pinarello frame recently, and it would be good to identify. The seller did not have accurate info on either the frame or components.
The bike has been well used, and unfortunately seems most of the higher grade components have been swapped out with cheaper Campag/Shimano mix sometime in the 90s.
Key identifiers I see (but I am noooo expert):
- chainstay bridge - hence not Montello
- integrated cabling (but only on top tube, not down tube), which suggests Prestige S with KL tubing (but no downtube cabling…), or could be Super Record version with internal cabling on top tube (I haven’t come across this…)
- the serial number seems to suggest ‘82/‘83 based on some previous comments I saw?
… any more ideas from you experts? It’s like a puzzle where each time you think you have an answer, you find another detail that reopens the mystery…

some photos attached. I can add more.

Its a later 70s early 80s Pinarello frame that has been re-painted. Wrong decals have been applied. Columbus SLX new tubing is also wrong.

Would be good if you can check if the fork has the matching serial to the frame stamped in to the steerer tube. That would (also) prove that its a 1983 maximum (!) Because in early 1984 Pinarello switched to the "new" fork crown design.

You can take a small flashlight and investigate your seat tube. If it has the typical "reinforcement" stripes in it, its a SLX tubing (which I highly doubt here). By 1983 the only model that had SLX tubing were the very early prototypes of the Montello model.

However, yours cant be a Montello, since your frame does not have the typical triangle reinforcement with Pinarello logo on it brazed on to the bottom bracket shell.
Hi, I see the fork and its the same serial number 0736 i still without more information about the bike, can someone help me with this information?
