24 hours after wrapping everything up, it could be unwrapped again and the whole thing looks like this.

Now it was time to sand again.
Some hours later it looked like this.

I also placed the bridges and torque tube.

Now it was time to realise my ingenious and unique design idea. I have no clue where the inspiration came from....

Nope, no idea....

I coloured the next two layers of epoxy with graphite because I somehow wanted black lugs. But in principle any colour will do, or even none at all if you prefer to see the fabric.

The last layer was clear again.

After that it was time for a last Pizza in front of the workshop.
Cleaning the frame was the next step and I was really lucky that nothing sticks to the hard surface of those bamboo tubes because the last steps were really messy.

It really looks like it. That would also be an idea for a stem when he holds up the handlebars instead of his rifle.

Yep, looks like a bicycle frame.
The weight isn't too bad either.

Now it's time to assemble.

Thanks to the mid-season sale, the parts have torn a smaller hole in the budget than expected. Up to 70% discount....awesome!

What a mess...but tinkering is more important than tidying up.

The build went smoothly and according to plan until I wanted to fit the rear derailleur....
That's when I realised that the thread for the derailleur bolt was still missing.

Fascinating how blind I am. You tinker with a frame for 3 months and don't realise that a thread is missing...

Next I have to find a suitable thread cutter.
I hope I can continue next week.

Thank you. It has longer chainstays than I had planned but I couldn't find a better way to work around the wide tyres. I also miskayculated something in the seatstays (of course I did...).
The bottom bracket is lower than expected and therefore I swapped the rigid fork for a suspension fork.

Luckily I found one for cheap that hasn't been used and will do just fine for this project, it matches the colour sheme too.
