I don't like MTB ebay & marketplace watch

Sorry OP, to think that by flaaging something up here on the forum pushes up the price of stuff on eBay is IMO a tad naive.

IMO eBay is a bit like the M25 - it's a victim of it's own success.

It would seem that nowadays eBay has practically become the defacto first choice of selling venue in the UK and no doubt the first choice for buyers trying to find a bargain.

However you must remember that so much stuff gets sold it is an impossibility for everthing that might be of interested to our community on eBay, pinkbike, etc., etc., that Retrobike would have to employ someone to sit on a computer all day flagging up items and then I'm certain there still wouldn't be enough time in the day!

Can you find stuff on eBay at reasonable prices - yes you can I have. ;)

I have to admit to outing a bit if stuff

Some times it feels good that it went unnoticed then announced and someone from here got it...then sometimes I feel bad when it's outed and somebody wanted it cheap

Ultimately you will pay for it what you want to pay for it

But yes I'm calming down a lot on my outing..sundays only now

It is also great for posting up to find out what things are.
Good for people to advertise their own ebay auctions on
and it brings in revenue for RetroBike to keep the site running so you have a place to be grumpy about the auctions :D

Makes it all the more fun when you bag a bargain slipped under the net ;)

ebaybay market place....? used by me long before i became an active member.

THUMBS UP FROM ME...

I used to feel the same, but auction watch has found me more bargains than it lost me, has turned me on to things i would have missed, and there are still bargains to be had

This rare as white dog shite Bradbury Manitou was listed in Auction Watch but I still got it for a lot less than an Answer Manitou:

I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't for Auction Watch.

There is no such thing as an undiscovered bargain on eBay. Sure you may have found it, but then so did the guy posting it on auction watch and the 20 or 30 others who have it saved in their eBay watches. All of us spend hours avoiding work by trawling eBay, every minute of every day....

Nice find, I'm a fan of it too.

Please don't calm it down - I've found some nice stuff via the auctions you've outed. And besides, you're not called ebay outing master for nothing ;) :)
