Class...I do love seeing people with exceptional lathe skills :D

so true - must be so satisfying to have the kit and the skills to us it as effectively as Dan

Still aiming for the Malverns...

Hopefully I'll take some bikes, although they will all need tweaking, so I don't get my arse too badly tanned by the usual suspects on their brightly coloured over-restored poncey machines.

May see you there, if only for some abuse.

al. :)

this "Over Restored Poncey Machine" will be sporting this a brightly coloured saddle.. just needs a darn good clean and polish on the Neon - I think it needs a saddle in keeping with the theme

Make it long and solid.................

Ahhh for FFS - okay I guess that does sound wrong on so many levels, what I meant is I want it strong enough so I can ride it

Then subsequently had it “popped into his box”

Ahhhh ......okay ! now I'm getting concerned that Sid James and Hattie Jacques are going to turn up !

And back to the Bike... otherwise the page count will be up around both of your standards

Those decals really make it..looking great. Don't you think the Flouro Magura's will look a bit lost next to the Flouro stays?

You had me thinking ^ but I've held my nerve and think I chose right, having received the wheels back from being trued up - NOS hubs on 27 year old rims (they have to be the widest rims I've seen in a long while, so wide the Bike shop who supplied the cloth tape joked they had no idea when the last time they old some.. :?

Anyway now they're back I can start to rebuild the thing starting with the brakes

Black and Flouro Yellow

NOS XT M732 and a very lightly used 27 year old rim and Critical Racing Skewers..

and a Royce 122mm x 73mm axle transplanted into some unknown NOS but rather cool black casings - ready for some equally black XT cranks
