Hub Gears

Hi guys,

I'm looking to put a hub gear into my commuter bike.

The bike can take 120mm width max without chain line issues and has 32 spoke rims.

My issue is that I cannot find a 120 width hub that isn't 36 spoke, or a 32 spoke hub that is less that 135 width.

Has anyone seen such a beast?

Cheers!

Bit of a long shot - the Brompton Sturmey 3 speed is 115 OLN so you could spacer it but is a 28h jobby.

Your best bet is to get a new rim at the same time tbh.

Re:

Put the 36 hole hub into the 32 hole rim, a few variations of spoke length needed. For the perfectionists on here remember the Dursley Pedersen 3 speed hub had no spoke holes on about a quarter of the flange, and I have built them.

Re:

SRAM Automatix. Come in 36h or 28h with or without coaster brake. The OLN is 120mm. I built this one into a 451 wheel for my Twenty.
