That looks like a right pain in the butt to get down every time you need to use it.

Plus being a Duke its likely to blow up and douse him and the cat in red hot oil and bits of cylinder.

You lot are on form tonight!

I'm planning to get a bunch of these from eighteenbikes and mount them to something solid (ie not my plasterboard 'walls' )

There's a similar set up outside a lovely cafe in Hope/Castleton, I can never remember which is which :?

I have a couple of hangers, I can't remember what make, but I could check. They weren't cheap but they're very well built and adjustable, especially if you have frames with sloped top tubes:

Hahahahahahaaha a very good point.

I guess I took that pretty much straight after I put them up then. :)

Not technically 'wallhangers', but definitely hanging, in the vicinity of a wall. No drilling required.

Is that custom made or for sale also?

I actually found this bike rack out in the street just over a month ago, whilst out for a walk. It had clearly been left in the rain for a few nights and also had a big paint stain down one side. I took it home, dried it out, gave it a thorough rub-down with some 120-grit and then some coats of Polyacrylic laquer.

I didn't know what it was until I searched online and found out that Amazon still sell them new - GearUp OakRak.
Mine has wooden bike mounts each with a little felt-lined gully, but the version on Amazon appears to have metal mounts for the bikes.
Super-easy to assemble, seems to get good reviews even for holding fully-built bikes too (though it seems many people drill into a ceiling joist to anchor it).

My shed has 5 of these hangers in. Pic only shows 3 bikes, but the shed is 1.5 m x 2.5 m and has 6 bikes in, and one of those is our tandem. Really recommended if you're pushed for space.

This is the over complicated version of the front wheel hangers.

But I guess it could also be very handy if you want to hang your bikes much higher. With the normal simple front wheel hangers you can only go as high as your arms can reach
