I have a couple of hangers, I can't remember what make, but I could check. They weren't cheap but they're very well built and adjustable, especially if you have frames with sloped top tubes:

They actually have complete bikes hung on them at times! I remember when my garage looked that empty :?

have used the pedal brackets before.
they don't damage the pedal at all and when set up right are dead easy to use plus your not hanging the bike by the frame or saddle.

I was put on to them for hanging a mountain cycle shockwave and san andreas due to the mono style frames.

If you do use them you may have to put a tab on the wall where the wheels touch just to keep the bike nice and level.

A cool floating look to display bikes but my fav is is still hanging bikes by the back wheel on u-hooks............tidy

The problem I would have with the pedal ones is the tyres touching the (often white) wall.
