I have a bike I want to retire to "decoration" purposes in the apartment. Still, I would like to be able to use it if needed (ie. guest bike, etc).
However, we all know STI shifters tend to gum up if not used for a while. Any tips to keep them in working order? Should I rather switch to thumbies? I know you can revive old shifters by spraying loads of WD40 on the mechanism, but I'd rather have a more reliable solution. Any tips are welcome!
