Was messing about on another mountain bike forum and heard the name retrobike! So thought I'd have a look.
Never realised there were so many people with bikes that take me back to my youth!
Also after upgrading, my '94 Orange Prestige to a '09 Marin in November, wanted to see if there is a market for my Orange. As I would rather someone who appreciates it owns it rather that it gathering dust!
What can I say, whilst I appreciate the old bikes and see the attraction, I cannot hide the fact I prefer riding my modern bike!
I think I was looking for info on my old (stolen) 1995 (I think) Scott Pro Racing. Amazingly difficult to find anything online about that bike, but came across this site and realized straight away that it was awesome .
I've always lurked on forums first, so I can get used the the poeple and the kinda conduct required, that's why it's taken a while for me to get going.
I was pointed this way by the guys in the Bike section of Pistonheads... been coming back ever since and agree that it has to be one of the more expensive things I have done recently
I googled images of sexy anodising (safe search was switched off ) one late night and found i wasn't alone. lots of pics with the word "retrobike" underneath. love at first sight you might say.
