Dirt Disciple
I have just found out my rear Hope Ti-Glide hub needs a rebuild, the cassette is also stuck on the freehub, and the skewer is rusted in the axle solid, so i basically need everything but not the hub body itself

i believe XC/Mono parts also fit

thanks

Pictures will help, all you'll probably need it new bearings
Everything else should be fine.

Hit the skewer out with a hammer then give it a clean inside (use a skewer to help)
The freehub will come of with WD40 and some leverage and maybe some warming up on the radiator.
Then do a bearing rebuild.
If it's XC/Mono/TiGlide tehn the instructions are on here somewhere in various threads and possibly the Archive now.
If it's newer then try hopes website.

the skewer won't come out, I've tried numerous times, and by doing so have separeted the inside from the hub body, and the cassette is stuck on the other part with no sign of budging, but is separate from the wheel now

heres a pic, not much help i know, as i slid it back together

I am assuming that the lockring is off? If so just tap away with a drift at the back of the cassette......worst that can happen is you bend the back sprocket and possibly knock the freehub free which would be a a bonus!

Found out its an XC hub

main part I need is the freehub. ive tried to get the skewer out with heat, and by putting it in the freezer, but still won't budge.

It's not an XC hub, it's a Ti-Glide hub with disc attachment
XC is all aluminium.
Internals are the same though, you can buy all the parts either from hope or wiggle/crc.

Id the freehub Ti or Steel ?
These are normally Ti
Anyway the sprockets should come off one by one assuming the bolt small bolts have nee removed (it loks like it in the picture) and might need some prying & copious amounts of WD40.

hmmm ok, so how can you tell this isnt aluminium, and is a Ti-Glide? sorry for all the questions, im new to uprated hubs

i don't know what the freehub is made of, ill try and check, but it doesnt take disc brakes though...

XC is a disc brake hub.
Mono is the XC without the disc brake part.
Both are a one piece Aluminium shell.

Ti-Glide is the earlier 90's version of these, it is a Titanium tube with Aluminium flanges glued to it, as seen in your picture.

and yes you can attach disc to your hub, see the pointy splines on teh none-cassette side, you fix an spider to that and mount a disc. Old stuff though.

Hope section in the archive, has exploded diagram of Ti-Glide and bearing service instructions (if you can get the other part apart)

Hope that helps.
