No so bad then. If you have a name that you made the cheque out to and an address then you should be able to get a phone number from one of those directory enquiry numbers. Give the guy a ring that should be a suprise.

Do you know if your cheque has been cashed/banked? If not then stop the cheque and no harm done.

if all else fails then it's back to plan A and the blowtorch :twisted:
