Hi all,
Went out to the shed yesterday after not using my bike for about a month, been using my other one.
Take a look at the pics, noticed a build up of this gunk around the pivot point on the levers.
Can't understand why there would be gunk build up, it's a slightly crystallised substance.
Emailed Hope and they said its not likely to be brake fluid and the brakes feel normal.
Also noticed a bit next to the top screws for the reservoir cover, really strange.
Think I may have to strip them down, rebuild change the seals as a precaution, it's only on the rear brake lever too.
Your thoughts please? Anyone experienced this before? They are Hope Mono 2004 levers.
