I recently picked these up in an auction , was told they are missing the spiders . is there somewhere I can get them from?

will any fit ?

The top one is from the old splined hubs (purple far left in pic) - the smaller disc, I dont know - *but it looks like it uses the same spider

You need to bear in mind there were only 2 versions of hope hubs that took 5 bolt disks with those spiders.

1. The rear Ti-glide / front suspension hub combo.
2. The mark 1 hope sport hubs.

Of the 2 the Ti-glide combo is far more obtainable. Lots of sets on here. You can pick up a typical hope/mavic wheelset with them for around £150 maybe slightly less.

If you already have the hubs then lots of people on here have a few in the shed.

I would avoid the early sport model if you come across them. They have a different spline fitting and the spiders are much rarer. They have a five pointed star shape but unlike the ones in the picture they are all hollowed out and surrounded by an outer ring a bit like a pentagram.

Note that there are also a few very early hope hubs that take a five bolt disc and the Spider is almost a solid disc with 5 or 6 holes cut in it.

Note only the very early 3 and 6 bolt hubs had floating spiders afaik.

Is there any way I can use the smaller disc on my existing crossmax hubs by obtaining an aftermarket or separate spider to mount it onto the 6 bolt fixing I use now?

Or would it be easier to ask hope to make me a rotor that fits and works with this smaller 2 pot calliper ( please can you tell me where / if it fits in the list of 10 callipers made for the C2. Its comes with a C2 calliper )

Nope the 5 bolt discs are completely incompatible with IS standard 6 bolts. No conversion.

6 bolt discs are available in c2 sizes direct from hope, orderable at your LBS or from a kind soul on here. easiest way to tell a c2 disk is that they come in 145,165,185 and 205mm sizes. Standsrd XC fit was generally 145 rear and 165 front. Also some places do the same but in 183mm etc that will also usually fit.

Post a wanted ad here.

Best way to tell which caliper you have is to look for the number carved on it. 3 & 5 are the common IS mount ones.

Great info. Thanks

I did try and look for the number but there doesn't seem to be one on it. here a photo of the calliper

Give Hope a call. There's a good chance they'll custom make a disc of any size or bolt pattern you want.
