has anyone got a 142x12 axle for a bulb hub or even wants to swap for a 135 QR setup?

I am unsure if the freehub has to change as it looked like the bearing in the freehub may only have a 12mm bore??

Re:

I don’t think the bulb came in 142x12 it will be 135x12, if you need 142 it will have to be a at least a pro 2. Happy to be proven wrong though.

Re:

basically you need the bearings for the 135x12 and make up some new end caps the right length that are big enough to shield the bearing on the hub end and the right diameter to sit in the frame.

if I could find the bits to make mine 135x12 then I can use spacers (seen them on ebay) for the moment. Or I will have to pull it apart and see if I can adapt it to take a more modern axle from something else, all depends on the bearing sizes and if I can find some with a bigger internal diameter but the same outer diameter and thickness.

The 135mmx12mm kit isnt that common, not sure you'll actually find one.

Although that said, you could try Hope. I know they've still got kits like this. A quick phone call should get you the part numbers, which you can then order through your local Hope dealer.

But then the faffing about with washers and in the end you hope it all works. Bulb is a great hub but a specific 142 might be an easier if not more secure option.

It looks like this if you want to look for it.

I have a good hub built into a D321 that I would like to use. I suppose if the flange width and diameter is the same on a later hub as a bulb I could get a later hub an swap it over.
