Hope 5 Bolt Spider for an XC hub _SORTED

Re:

Hi,

Thanks Scant - Am ok for rotors at the moment but will bear this in mind.

Thanks also Dyna-ti but I am trying to get this old wheelset up and running again and this is the only bit I need. Not really after another wheel project. The offer is much appreciated anyway though.

Cheers, James.

Ps. My xc rear hub came with a spider but the locking ring locks tight before the spider does so it stays loose. Looks to be too thin. Probably an aftermarket one?Thinking I might try a large washer to bulk it out but reckoned it might throw out the brake rotor line too much. Any suggestions welcome.

Hi,
Yes am still looking. Thanks for the photo but that looks to be from a Hope Bulb hub. The one I need has a different hub profile on the bore.

Much appreciated though,

Cheers, James

Re:

Hi,
All sorted now. Turns out my one mudt have been aftermarket and was too thin. Original one has sorted it and another pair of wheels has a new life.

Thanks for all the help.

Cheers, James.

For the archives. Be interested in seeing the two side by side as ive not come across an aftermarket 5 bolt spider.
Though Phil Wood does a 5 bolt to standard 6 bolt adaptor. I own one but again im unsure if its origins in terms of date.

So much was available in little packets behind the till. I didnt take enough notice.

Re:

Hi,
Pm me your email address and I will try and send you some pics tonight. I still haven't mastered how to put pics up on here. I will also try and measure both widths where the lock ring goes on. It may be an original Hope spider but it is definitely too thin for an XC hub as it doesn't tighten up. I wonder if it might fit older type hubs. I would love it to go to a good home for gratis if we can find something that it fits!

Cheers, James.
