Home made wheel dishing guages?

Got a work bench? Or a table?
Build your wheel, get it sort of true then use two matching size boxes, mugs, books to rest the rim on. Measure to the lock nut, flip it over and measure again.

I made one for myself its much less bendy than the cheapo alluminium ones and free!

Impressive build that is! Good to see it hardwood and not softwood, or you may have issues depending on room humidity/temperature regarding the wheel build. Am impressed

I did a laser cut plywood one a few years ago. It did the job other than not really working so well with a tyre on the rim but I eventually replaced it with the Park one.
