Appreciate we have got away from BB's discussing headsets, with some interesting comments. I never like Ahead with steerer tube that sticks up above stem, looks stupid to me.

If I may can I add a 5th q

5) what tool do people like to use (16 notches 45mm dia) to fit HT2 cups
Is there one that doesn't damage the cups? &/or is a joy to use.

Re:

I use an X-Tools part wrap around spanner style, It was cheap and works well for me.
Some use the socket set style too and I guess they work.

You can print them out and the preload parts, if you have access ;-)

Random search to see whiat picks up first, do your own or buy ParkTools

or

for example.

Retro hammer and screwdriver tends not to work on these too well. :-(

If you frame is good, they should screw in by hand and all you do is give it a nip-up to lock it there.
Unlike UN bottom brackets that seem to use a lot of compression to get the buggers into the frame.

But I could just have been lucky.
