For Sale Holdsworth Sport Tourer bike (22.5in ST and TT) £125

Hi all

Selling my lovely Holdsworth sports touring bike, complete with partial shimano 105 groupset (shifters and brakes), with the other bits being part of a curated set of groupsets more suited for touring. Selling because I wanted a bike with fork mounts for more racks!

Measures 22.5inch top tube (c-c) and 22.5inch crank to seat tube (c-t).

Please see photos for condition - I have used this reasonably extensively for touring in the outer Hebrides etc so marks are in conjunction with the weather and use which that entails! Some scratches and areas of missing paint. Handlebar tape is new and put on by me at the time of listing. Chrome is still in lovely condition as shown in photos.
The wheels currently on the frame do not make full use of the range of speeds which the shifters handle, but it will get you up and running.

Any questions please feel free to ask!

Collection will be from South Manchester
Asking for £125 GBP.

Hi,

Your bike sounds great, especially with the Shimano 105 parts and the touring setup. The price seems good too, and it’s nice that the chrome is still in good shape!

Does it come with any racks or extras, or just the bike? Also, would you be able to ship it, or is it only for collection in South Manchester?

Thanks

Hello! It would be collection only I’m afraid. If it was a steel MTB frame only maybe I’d consider it but have shipped once before and found it quite the nightmare to source some nice quality cardboard and make it all secure.

Bike is sold as is, the rack I had on it has gone to my Dawes now for carrying my shopping.

Thanks for your response.

Nice that, is it 531ST tubing?
To be 100% honest I’m not completely sure, if you have any way of finding out I would be more than happy to test it somehow.
I’m not the original owner so cannot be sure. It is not the lightest but this is comparing it to standard 531, and 531c with which I have more experience. I have never owned or held an explicitly 531st frame set.
The chroming is really quite good which makes me think why put the effort in if it’s not a decent tube set! But cannot be sure from that obviously.

Over bracket guides suggest something late 70s/early 80s before the days of 531ST or 531C, when it was just 531DB or 531plain gauge.
It it takes a 27.2mm seatpin it will be 531DB (probably)
