Hi & RC35 help please

Hi mate, welcome to the forum,

I bought a set of NOS RC35 elastomers for about £30 off the bay..how silly was i!!!

I guess if you can get them from Pace at the same price you're onto a winner...

looking at this the other day ,

if someone can give me the original dimensions of the elastomers in the rc35 , i may be able to get some from the proflex elastomer guy

got a good match for the mani 1 and 2

anyone ?

SLIM - I just found my old spares in the bottom of my bits box -
Each elastomer is 20mm in length and 16mm in Diameter, the hole through the centre is 5mm.
If you like I have a split old one I could send you?

no need they are exactly the same size as the manitou elastomers

the manitou 1 , that is

and i only ordered a match for the mani 3 / 4 :roll:

they are available in that size though

I have just received the Manual for the RC-35's from Pace and I will get it PDF'd asap.
It covers 95 models MXC, MXCD & MD and has an insert for 96 models also.
Anyone need any info just let me know and I will reply untill I have time to do the PDF.

the RC35's are a progressive fork and there are 3 different weights of elastomers inside

This is correct on the 1996 versions - they have a combination as follows

MXC Blue x1, Natural x4, Yellow x1
MXCD Blue x2, Natural x5, Yellow x1
MD Blue x3, Natural x6, Yellow x1

Blue = Hard , Yellow = Soft, and Natural = Medium

However 1995 versions came with Natural elastomers only - MXC x6, MXCD x8 and MD x10 per leg.
Natural was set for a rider of around 10-11 stone (63-69kg) so Yellow and Blues were available foe tuning.

Any chance of making a pdf of the mxcd manual and posting it on the site? Guess there's quite a few of us on here with these forks and an online source for servicing would be pretty useful...?

i have just bought a pair of the RC35 AB ( atmosphere balanced )

but they have the natural elastomers , and in the completely different size of 25.0 mm with the hole at 10.5 mm

and 3 per side at 55 mm length

are these the original ones or later replacements , because the fork seems rather " tall " compared to manitou and rockshox

about 3 / 4 inches in fact !!

forgot to add , the elastomers are exactly the same length as the rod

so look the right length ??

I think the AB's were an earlier fork with only a single bridge and without the Monobox construction - can anyone confirm this?

SLIM do they look like the pics in the manual I posted in the scan section?
