I have just been to view this bike as a result of a 'wanted' add I have in my local paper. The guy that's selling it has no computer access. It was his uncles bike from new. The frame is too small for me but I offered to advertise the bike on this site. It's in full working order with pannier racks to the back and front. Both racks were rusty but other than that, the bike is in excellent condition. It has the curly rear stays and is green in colour with gold coach pin striping. It is totally untouched and original. I have taken some photos on my phone but will have to wait for my son to up load them. The guy can be contacted directly on 07817573666. He wants £395.00 for the bike which seems a bargain I have no interest in the sale other than wanting to see the bike get the right home.

Not necessarily. I posted this message in good faith thinking I was doing the guy a favour. The bike did need quite a bit of work and I thought £395 was a fair price. He was prepared to sell it to me for considerably less. A deal was agreed with a fellow member for the asking price but I now understand the seller later backed out demanding more money. He knew nothing of the bikes worth until I met him and I only placed the add because I wanted him to get a fair price. He had no computer access or knowledge of bikes. I can't help feeling that greed then got the better of him. Not very honourable and I feel sorry for the member who has been messed around.
